Hobby Studio is open!

We're excited to welcome everyone back. Please note the following changes:

  • The framing room is now open (max of 2 patrons)
  • Maximum of 10 customers allowed in the Hobby Studio at a time

Hobby Studio is a hobbyist's paradise! If you're looking to do it yourself and save money, or to pick up a new skill or hobby that will last a lifetime, we've got the program for you!

The Arts & Crafts Center offers tours and classes for groups such as coffee groups, FRGs and Scouts. Contact our staff for more information.

Wood Shop Safety: $10 (unavailable at this time)

This class is required in order to use the Wood Shop. Learn the basics in safety and how to use each piece of equipment in the wood shop area.You will receive a DA3031 certification card after completing the course. 

Matting & Framing: $10

Learn the skills to do your own matting and framing and save a bundle! Subjects covered in this one-night class include material selection, matt cutting, frame chopping and assembly, and glass cutting. All materials are provided for hands-on instruction. Students will not be working on their own projects. This class is required before using the matting and framing studio. 

Sewing Classes: $13-$26

Sewing classes are offered for several ability levels, from beginner to advanced. Use our sewing machines, or bring your own. Beginner classes are for anyone who wants to learn to sew, someone looking for a quick and easy project, or someone who needs a refresher. Level I classes are designed to teach skills and increase knowledge. Level II classes teach more technical stitches, a buttonhole stitch, putting in a zipper and basic quilting. Advance registration required.

Crochet & Knitting Classes: $5

Learn the basics of crochet including single and double stitches, how to read instructions, how to change colors, and how to increase and decrease. Students will be supplied with yarn and a hook on for their first class. After the first class supplies will be the student's responsibility. Come and have fun! Advance registration required. 

Adult Craft Classes: $8-$20

This time is set aside for you to work quietly on a project, we will have a few projects for you to choose from and you can complete in an afternoon. Crafts include (but are not limited to) flower pot painting, wood welcome signs with add-ons, wood kits and more.

Parent & Child Craft Classes: $8-$20

This is an opportunity for you to work with your child on a craft. You can work together on something or each have your own project to complete. Crafts include (but are not limited to) paper crafts, ceramic bisque to paint, yarn crafting and more.

Professional Matting & Framing: Our shop has more than 500 frame molding choices and the highest quality conservation, preservation mats for your valuable pieces. Stop in and get a free estimate.

Ceramic Shop: You can drop off your greenware or glazeware for firing here. There is a minimal charge per inch.
