Army Volunteer Corps

The Army Volunteer Corps provides opportunities for volunteers based on interest and agency needs. Volunteers support the installation mission in a variety of capacities such as coaches, office assistants, SFRG leaders, program assistants, and much more.

ACS volunteers are eligible to receive 25 hours per month in free child care.

Army Community Service 

  • Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)- EFMP Program Assistant
  • Outreach- SRP Site Volunteer, Information and Referral Volunteer
  • Volunteer Program- Volunteer Coordinator Assistant

  • Relocation Readiness- Relocation Program Assistant

Adventure Park

We are looking for volunteers to pick up trash around the adventure park once a week; we are flexible with your availability. With the Kansas wind blowing everything all over and our limited staffing we hope to obtain assistance in the effort to keep the area clean for our military community.

Hobby Studio

Interested in volunteering to teach a class or help out in the woodshop?  We are always looking for new talented creative volunteers! If you have any special talents, crafting abilities, great imagination or just would love to get involved please call for more information.

Animal Shelter and Adoption Center

Looking for heart warming cuddles and slobbery kisses from a new furry friend. The Animal Shelter is always looking for volunteers to help with day-to-day tasks. Must be 16 years and older. Hours available during the week as well as on the weekends. Volunteering includes:

  • Walking dogs
  • Socializing animals
  • Grooming and bathing of animals
  • Cleaning cages
  • Doing laundry and dishes
  • Helping at events
Available Classes

VMIS Training 

This class helps with the registration into the VMIS program; explains how to log hours and gives options for future levels; and explains the rewards of tracking volunteer hours including promotion points for E5 and below, job experience documentation and future benefits. No child care is available. 

 

Volunteer Management 

This class covers registration in the VMIS system as an organizational point of contact. how to certify volunteer hours; how to add volunteer positions; and the importance of verifying and logging volunteer hours. Attendees also learn about volunteer awards, volunteer agencies and how to collect volunteer hours for others. No child care is available.
